I am excited to launch this revised version of the site. Soon, I will add marketplace capabilities for those of you that wish to purchase supplies. The next launch will occur after my return from New Zealand in February.
My note for today:
I know that digital scrapbook formats have made the art of time-consuming paper scrapbooks nearly obsolete but I continue to push for them. I myself own several of both mediums and prefer one or the other depending on the situation. Paper scrapbooks create a sense of nostalgia stemming from the multi-layered tactile nature they provide. Digital scrapbooks are flat and cold, which is why I prefer them to document an event quickly. However, it is my collection of paper scrapbooks that capture the delight of viewers and provoke questions due to the addition of memorabilia affixed to each page; something that cannot be accomplished through the use of digital media. Try thinking about the past year and pinpoint those memories that jump out. Those are the memories worth putting in a paper scrapbook. Those are the memories I want to help you preserve.
